"Cabin Fever." We've heard that term our whole lives. Now we're all going to get a taste of it for real.
People with high-speed internet access have the option of streaming the backlog of great cable shows that have been produced during the recent explosion of streaming TV, which is often called a new golden age of television. I'm going to recommend what I believe are some of the best shows available on Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, Starz, Disney+, et cetera, and tell you why I love them.
For those who don't have high-speed Internet, books can serve the function they've served so well since Gutenberg pressed that first Bible. All you need is enough light to see the page. And you don't need new books, either. As an author, I'm often asked what books I'm reading, and frequently my answer is that I'm actually RE-reading a novel I've read before, sometimes for the third or fourth time. Well-written books offer you new discoveries and insights with each reading, because every time we come to them, we are slightly different people.
Also, please send any photos you have of people delivering food or helping neighbors et cetera to Greg at the address on the CONTACT page.
If you send Natchez pictures, try to find some of landmarks that people will recognize. The Cold Hole. The Monmouth Drive-In. The Burger Chef. Familiar buildings that no longer exist, or surprises we'd all love to see. I'd like to get some from every decade, so that Natchezians of all ages can remember better times while stuck at home. Thanks in advance!
